Nanatsu no Taizai, or the Seven Deadly Sins, are the most ragtag team of knights you'll ever meet, but you're bound to love them. In fact, Meliodas and his buddies are so loved that Nanatsu no Taizai was one of the top-selling media franchises of 2018

Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin will follow our Knights as they continue to face off against the Ten Commandments. The bigger question though, is, will Meliodas and Elizabeth finally have their happy ending?

#3 Shokugeki no Soma: Shin no Sara

Shokugeki no Soma, or Food Wars!, is serving up its fourth plate! This was one of the most popular anime to come out of 2015 and its popularity does not seem to be waning as it enters its fourth season. The manga officially ended its run just a few months back in June, so it is entirely possible that this might be Yukihiro Soma's last hoorah.

In Shokugeki no Soma: Shin no Sara, the advancement exams continue! Will Soma be able to save him and his friends from expulsion and graduate from the academy?

Shokugeki no Soma: Shin no Sara will debut on Oct 12, 2019.

15 Upcoming Fall 2019 Anime Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of the Underworld

If you were left on the edge of your seat at the beginning of this year when the first Sword Art Online: Alicization arc ended, buckle up! The next cour is being released in October, which means that we'll finally see what happened after that massive cliffhanger.

The War of the Underworld arc will likely see Asuna join our heroes Alice and Kirito, the latter of whom is seen to be injured in the teaser trailers for the season, as they continue to navigate the Underworld.

#5 Psycho-Pass 3

Psycho-Pass is coming back for a Season 3! This crime-meets-cyberpunk anime won the hearts of many fans when it debuted back in 2012 and has since spawned a franchise spanning movies, video games and even a themed cafe

Information on the plot of the new season has been scarce, but the gist of it is that we will follow two new rookies of the Public Safety Bureau trying to navigate the Sybil System. Interestingly, instead of the typical sixteen episodes that we are used to with most anime, Psycho-Pass 3 will only have 8 episodes, each an hour-long.

Psycho-Pass 3 will debut on Oct 25, 2019.

#6 Ahiru no Sora

No, your eyes are not fooling you. That is one short guy on the basketball team! Ahiru no Sora tells the story of Sora Kurumatani, a short high school freshman who joins the basketball team with dreams of winning his first tournament.

Upon joining the team though, he finds that his teammates have lost passion for the sport and instead spend their club time doing everything but playing basketball...

Ahiru no Sora debuted on Oct 2, 2019.

Cue the Zootopia comparisons! In the anthropomorphized world of BEASTARS, carnivores and herbivores live in peace, though there's an underlying tension between the two groups. Legoshi is the main character of the series, a kind and gentle gray wolf and member of the drama club. He eventually finds himself tied up in a murder mystery when his friend is found dead.

Throughout the anime, we follow Legoshi's investigations as he tries to find out who murdered his friend, all the while navigating societal tensions and his feelings for a fellow classmate, the dwarf rabbit Haru.

BEASTARS will debut on Oct 10, 2019.

#8 No Guns Life

Enjoy cyberpunk anime? Enjoy quirky anime with fascinating premises? Then you'll probably want to catch No Guns Life, a crime anime featuring a private detective that has a gun for a head.

Set in a post-war future where cyborg soldiers ('Extended') have been discharged into civil society, our gun-head, Juzo Inui, makes a living solving crimes. When he is suddenly approached by a friend on a run to help keep a kidnapped child safe, he is thrust into an increasingly dangerous world.

No Guns Life will debut on Oct 11, 2019.

#9 We Never Learn (Season 2)

We Never Learn, or Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai, is a rom-com anime with a harem. In many ways, it's a formula that's been tried and tested. Yet, we keep coming back for more.

In the first season, we were introduced to Nariyuki Yuiga, a poor high school student who works hard to receive a college scholarship. He receives it on one condition: he has to tutor some of the school's smartest students in their weakest subjects! We expect the same hilarity and antics in the second season as Yuiga attempts to teach his three tutees and help them towards their own goals.

We Never Learn (Season 2) will debut on Oct 6, 2019.

#10 Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia

The Fate multiverse is vast, spanning anime series, video games, light novels, and more. It is also incredibly popular, with the Fate/Grand Order mobile game being one of the most profit-generating titles in the world. The latest to come out of the franchise is the Absolute Demon Front: Babylonia anime, a standalone series that focuses on the Fate/Grand Order game's seventh chapter.

Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia will go back to the reign of King Gilgamesh, who is fighting off an invasion of strange demons. If you're unfamiliar with Fate and its characters, we're not sure if jumping into this will make sense, but it's probably worth a shot.

Fate/Grand Order: Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia will debut on Oct 5, 2019.

#11 Kabukicho Sherlock

The Fall 2019 anime lineup has quite a number of exciting releases, one of which is Kabukicho Sherlock. By this point, everyone seems to have taken a stab at retelling the classic tale of Sherlock Holmes, but you might be surprised to learn that this is the first Sherlock anime.

Kabukicho Sherlock is set in the bright Kabukicho district of Tokyo's Shinjuku Ward. Sherlock Holmes and his trusty sidekick, Watson, are part of the Nagaya Detective Agency, where they solve bizarre mysteries.

Kabukicho Sherlock will debut on Oct 12, 2019.

#12 Granblue Fantasy The Animation (Season 2)

Granblue Fantasy: The Animation is returning! The anime is adapted from the massively popular RPG mobile game, GranBlue Fantasy and centers around the classically-handsome Gran. Set in a world where everyone lives on floating islands, Gran dreams of traveling to a mythical island at the end of the sky.

The second season will continue to follow on with Gran and his adventures as he attempts to reach the island with his companions, including a very adorable dragon.

Granblue Fantasy: The Animation (Season 2) will debut on Oct 5, 2019.

#13 Hataage! Kemono Michi

Here is yet another quirky anime to look forward to in the Fall 2019 anime lineup. Japanese pro wrestler Shibata Genzo is an animal lover who is suddenly magically summoned to a fantasy world by a princess. She has a simple request: help her get rid of evil beasts that are roaming the world. Unable to bear the thought of killing animals or monster, Genzo instead sets up a 'monster' pet shop.

A ridiculously buff dude running a monster pet shop? Yeah, this is definitely on our watchlist.

Hataage! Kemono Michi debuted on Oct 2, 2019.

#14 Azur Lane

In the Azur Lane mobile game, players collect characters, or 'shipgirls', that are essentially anthropomorphized battleships. In the anime, young women are created to have the power of warships and other war-crafts, to fight off alien invaders known as 'Sirens'.

The anime starts off after the successful elimination of the 'Sirens'. However, instead of peace, the Azur Lane alliance now faces a new threat: the Red Axis.

Azur Lane debuted on Oct 3, 2019.

#15 Chihayafuru 3

Who knew that an anime about a card game would be so incredibly compelling? Well, that's exactly what Chihayafuru is. This slice-of-life anime is coming back for a third season, and we're excited to see more exciting matches.

Centered around a Japanese card game from the 16th century known as Karuta, the anime follows the titular Chihaya Ayase and her friends as they explore the world of competitive Karuta. If it all sounds boring to you, let's not forget how good anime is at making the mundane seem exceptionally exciting!

Chihayafuru 3 will debut on Oct 23, 2019.
